Full Job Description

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a registered Nurse / ODP to join the Anaesthetic team within the Golden Jubilee National Hospital. You will have an interest in Anaesthetics and the peri-operative environment.

NHS Golden Jubilee has traditionally supported NHS Scotland to deliver Heart and Lung services alongside General and Orthopaedic surgery, both locally and nationally, and to provide high volume elective surgery.

We currently have 15 Theatres, and 1 Endoscopy room and perform elective surgery 6 days per week with an on call service out of hours.  We currently have a dedicated Endoscopy suite and as part of the Golden Jubilee Hospital expansion, we will increase our theatres to 20 and include a 5 room purpose built Endoscopy suite.

As a Green (COVID light) hospital site, the Golden Jubilee Hospital will support NHS Scotland to deliver a wide range of cancer surgery and other life sustaining surgery, whilst also resuming our elective surgery programmes as part of the Remobilisation programme. To support this, the hospital has accelerated its expansion plans and there is an exciting opportunity within the Team.

Perioperative nursing within NHS Golden Jubilee is proud to acknowledge the strong person centred reputation that it has established, we are central to and a major part of all that is delivered by the teams here. We are now looking for a Registered Nurse/ODP to join our Anaesthetic team within Theatres. If you are passionate about peri-operative practice, willing to learn new skills, work in a dynamic environment, and have excellent communication skills, this is the perfect opportunity for you.

The role requires flexible working and covering on call rotas overnight and at weekends and an exciting opportunity to become part of the National Organ Retrieval Service.
