Full Job Description
- Regeneration Phase and Trials Phase: + Answer any technical Clarification Questions (TQs) + Support the delivery of the technical input to all required project documentation i.e. ITEAP, Risk register, issues register etc. + Act as the focal point for all technical queries (TQs)
- Ensure that the vessel regeneration is progressing in accordance with the SRD and Technical SOW
- Manage any technical changes to the URD, SRD and SOW
- Support the development of the document set to allow the deployment of the vessel. Inclusive of but not limited to the Certificate of Design and safety case processes.
- Delivery of an acceptance plan (ITEAP) ensuring compliance against the contract, through advice and recommendations based on sound engineering principles.
- Make technical recommendations regarding milestone(s) achievements against the contracted SOW and ITEAP.
- Work with the crew to ensure that all technical elements are reported in a timely way to the Project Manager, inclusive of but not limited to the risk and issues register.
Senior Marine Engineer/Naval Architect (CEng with a minimum of 5 years' experience at this level) with extensive experience of ship build/ship refits. - Requirements management experience. (URD/SRD/SOTR/SOW derivation).
- Management of IVV activities. DESIRABLE
- Experience of GRP construction.
- Familiarity with the Hunt Class or other MCMV.
- Experience in the regeneration of MCMVs
Our defence sector client is recruiting for an SC cleared Requirements Manager to support the end of a Mine Countermeasures Vessel (MCMV) Naval platform regeration phase and subsequent trials phase. This is a 3 month contract offering up to £570 per day (Inside IR35). The role can be delivered remotely with regular (once every two weeks) travel required to North Devon.
