Full Job Description

Research is a key element in Dementia UK's strategic aims and runs throughout all our approaches to supporting people with dementia and their families. Our research is focused on care not cure, helping to improve lives and support our Admiral Nurses. As part of the Research and Publications Team, we are currently seeking a Research Assistant to support in the delivery of the Dementia UK Research Strategy. In this role you will support in the undertaking of literature reviews by conducting systematic and rigorous searches of the literature, synthesising qualitative and quantitative findings, supporting writing up literature reviews and the dissemination of findings to academic audiences. Additionally, you will coordinate patient and public involvement activities including planning, coordinating and minuting meetings of our research strategy advisory groups. You will also support with drafting ethical review documents, as well as data collection and analysis.

To succeed in this role, you will have a first or 2:1 degree in social sciences or similar and a Masters in a course relevant subject, for example psychology, nursing, social care. You will have a demonstrable research background within dementia, with experience in supporting quantitative, qualitative, or mixed methods research. Additionally, you will have prior involvement in patient and public engagement, as well as conducting literature reviews.
