Full Job Description

This study is more than halfway through and represents a unique opportunity to join a study near to reporting with strong publication prospects in short timescale. Field research is currently in progress and pending a research passport you will be able to commence work in general practice sites quickly. You will work in eight general practices in the West-Midlands on pilot testing an intervention developed in our co-design process last year. We are collecting data direct from patient records (CAG approval in place), and from qualitative interviews (staff and patients) and surveys (patients). There will be data analysis to undertake shortly, leading to high quality publications. In the final stage of the project, you will lead in organising an implementation workshop with local medical leaders to see how we can transition the intervention into routine hospital discharge.

An excellent opportunity has arisen at Warwick Medical School for a hard-working, enthusiastic and self-motivated Research Assistant or Research Fellow to work with Dr Rachel Spencer (an NIHR advanced fellow) on a project to improve safety of discharge from hospital for older patients in primary care (GP-MATE). Our study website can be found here: https://warwick.ac.uk/fac/sci/med/research/hscience/apc/qualityandsafety/gpmate/. Dr Spencer is an academic GP and lead of the Primary Care Network at WMS; her details can be found here: https://warwick.ac.uk/fac/sci/med/staff/rspencer/.
