Full Job Description

We are seeking to appoint a Research Support Assistant for the project "Socio-Demographic Determinants of Geriatric Suicide in East Asia," jointly funded by the British Academy and Welcome Trust. This research project aims to examine the socio-demographic determinants of geriatric suicide in East Asia, contributing to understanding and addressing the challenges faced by aging populations. The role entails the following:

1. Organizing and synthesizing existing research on geriatric suicide and related socio-demographic factors.
2. Data Handling: Identifying and compiling data sources.
3. Conducting basic data organization and analysis using R or Excel.
4. Community Engagement: Exploring potential community partners and stakeholders. Establishing initial contact and fostering collaboration opportunities.
5. Reporting: Creating tables, figures, and concise reports to summarize findings.
6. Assisting with manuscript preparation or presentations such as proofreading.
7. Administrative Support: Managing project documentation and other organisational tasks.

The successful candidate will gain hands-on experience in socio-demographic research and potentially community engagement.
