Full Job Description

Aberdein Considine are looking for a Residential Conveyancing lawyer to join our team in Stirling. The role is open to solicitors, with a good knowledge of residential conveyancing, through to Senior Associate level. The successful candidate will act for clients in the legal aspects of sale and purchase transactions, remortgages and transfers of title in the Stirling office however would be required to also provide support 2 days per week to the Firm's Perth office. The role will be supporting the Partner and team in the provision of legal services by providing expert legal advice and assistance to clients within the department. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Communicating with clients and taking their instructions
  • To manage an agreed caseload of clients, providing appropriate legal advice and assistance.
  • To process cases on a timely and cost effective basis
  • Liaising with third parties such as other solicitors and banks
  • Drafting legal documentation
  • Undertaking the conveyancing for sale and purchase transactions
  • To develop and maintain client relationships and enhance the firm's client base by effective liaison with existing clients, agents and introducers
  • To maximize the firm's potential to cross - sell services by identifying appropriate opportunities
  • To use the correct procedures and systems in order to manage cases effectively and in accordance with the firm's standards and legal requirements

    Essential
  • Bachelor of Laws (LLB)
  • Diploma in Professional Legal Practice
  • Desirable
  • Working knowledge of case management systems
  • Computer and software literate with good keyboard skills
  • SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE Essential
  • Minimum of 2 years post qualified experience
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to manage a high volume work load
  • Attention to detail
  • Organisational skills
  • A good legal knowledge and the ability to apply it as appropriate
  • Experience in holding client meetings
  • Experience in property, conveyancing and private client work
  • Willing to offer help to all colleagues to ensure the firm's success
