This is an exciting opportunity for an interested healthcare worker to work as an integral member of both the Home Ventilation Service and Respiratory Liaison Service.  The post holder will work in collaboration and under the supervision of the Home Ventilation and Respiratory Liaison Team.

The successful candidate will be based in a shared office with both teams in Ninewells Hospital.

They will be providing information and support to maximise the quality of life of patients with Respiratory conditions. Within the Home Ventilation Team the postholder will be carrying out respiratory monitoring on patients with complex neuromuscular patients in both hospital and home settings. This will require travelling across all of Tayside and NE Fife including rural home visits in patients homes. In addition to this the postholder will be required to work across Perth Royal Infirmary & Ninewells Hospital.

There is scope to develop this role within the Respiratory Liaison Service further, so we are seeking an individual open to new sharing ideas to support the service.

Good communication and IT skills are essential to the role and a desire to learn about respiratory conditions, equipment and understand the importance of collaborative working are necessary. An SVQ level III in healthcare or a willingness to work towards SVQIII or equivalent is also desirable.

The role will also involve providing some administrative support to both teams to assist with ordering, monitoring and care delivery.

Ability to travel across Tayside and NE Fife to visit patients in their own homes.

Hours of work are: 30 HRS per week Monday to Friday working across both teams.
