JOB TITLE: Retail & Licensing Executive                             

REPORTING LINE: Head of Retail & Licensing        

DEPARTMENT: Commercial & Marketing  

LOCATIONS: Ibrox Stadium           

CONTRACT: Full Time, Permanent            

            

THE ROLE

 

You will be responsible for supporting the Head of Retail in the commercial and operational delivery of the Club’s retail commitments, both in-house through our museum gift store and the Club’s retail partner.

 

You will assist in managing and expanding the Club’s growing retail and licensing portfolio whilst also efficiently oversee and coordinate the annual Gift-of-Kit (GOK) order process in collaboration with the Club’s technical partner.

 

This role is based at Ibrox Stadium. Some travel will be required as part of the role. Occasional match day working.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

 

Licensing

 

• Support the growth of the club’s official product licensing programme, including:

• Managing relationships with licensees.

• Processing and analysing royalty reports.

• Coordinating product approvals and launches.

• Research new product licensing and merchandising opportunities to appeal to Rangers supporters and expand the range of high-quality official merchandise.

• Assist in drafting and reviewing licensee partnership agreements.

 

Retail

 

• Ensure the availability of official licensed products, as well as all Rangers branded products, within the club’s new gift store at Edmiston House.

• Oversee the product approval process for licensees and retail partners.

• Assist with administrative duties related to stock purchasing and management for the gift store.

• Coordinate the monthly stock auditing process.

• Collaborate with the club’s retail team to enhance the availability of licensed products across the Rangers store network.

• Work alongside the marketing team to create and schedule engaging content aimed at driving retail sales.

• Assist the Head of Retail in managing the relationship with the club’s retail partner

• Help coordinate and assist with all kit shoot and launch commitments

• Regular travel to visit technical partner HQ will be required

 

Gift-of-Kit 

 

• Collaborate with the kit supplier and club stakeholders to compile annual order books, ensuring the efficient delivery of playing kits and other requirements.

• Ensuring kit partner alignment, including kit design sign off.

 

THE CANDIDATE

The candidate attributes include:

 

·         Partner delivery experience would be advantageous

·         Some knowledge of working within licensing operations would also assist

·         Some experience of managing internal relationships, as well as external suppliers and partners

·         Confident communicator

·         Strong written and verbal skills

·         Proven experience in an administrative role

·         The ability to move at fast pace and on multiple projects

·         Good organisation skills and planning skills

·         Ability to prioritise and multi-task

·         Keen eye for detail

·         Can do attitude!

·         Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Word and Excel is essential. 

·         A prior level of understanding of the club’s history and passionate fanbase is desirable as this will support the development of products that will be popular with supporters.
