Do you have expertise in assessing, evaluating and influencing the performance of buildings? Are you looking for a role where you will play a crucial part in supporting the transition to net zero?

Carbon Futures are looking for a motivated and passionate individual to join our team and support our involvement in some of the most prominent developments across the country. This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and ambitious individual to be involved in a progressive company, whilst working in a supportive team environment., We are looking for a passionate individual to join our team in Glasgow. The role is ideally suited to an individual with experience of being involved in the delivery of retrofit projects across both domestic and non-domestic projects in Scotland or throughout the UK. The preferred candidate will have excellent knowledge of the key factors that impact on existing building energy performance including fabric design, materials, thermal bridging, ventilation, airtightness, overheating, heating and hot water solutions, and renewable technology. Experience of working with historic buildings would also be beneficial. The candidate should also have a very good understanding of Climate Change / Net Zero guidance by organisations such as LETI and UKGBC as well as common retrofit standards such as and ideally PAS2035 and how to apply this guidance to building performance.,

  • Experience of delivering retrofit projects
  • Experience of building surveying
  • Experience of using SAP and RdSAP software
  • Experience of using PHPP and Design PH
  • Experience of working with clients and stakeholders
  • Experience of analysing and understanding the energy performance of buildings
  • Experience of operating within the construction sector
  • Good understanding of the Passivhaus standard
  • Good understanding of detailed construction drawings
  • Good understanding of mechanical & electrical building services design
  • Good understanding of low and zero carbon generating technologies, Excellent project management skills
  • Excellent work ethic and ability to work under pressure
  • Excellent Energy Modelling Experience
  • Excellent Autodesk AutoCAD skills
  • Competent Microsoft Office skills
  • Understanding of software such as SketchUp and InDesign
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines and communicate effectively
  • Fluent spoken and written English is essential as is your eligibility to work in the UK
