An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Oncology Systemic Anticancer Therapy (SACT) Team for a Band 6 SACT Clinical Nurse Specialist.
This team are responsible for the holistic assessment of patients receiving SACT, diagnosing, prescribing and managing the clinical requirements of patients often with highly complex needs. The role involves the use of advanced clinical assessment skills, autonomous decision making and clinical judgment to formulate appropriate treatment plans and ensure the safe delivery of treatment within the oncology setting.
We are seeking a highly motivated and forward-thinking individual. The post holder must have advanced clinical knowledge and experience and will play a pivotal role within the multidisciplinary team providing clinical assessment and prescribing for patients receiving SACT and supportive treatments.
You will need excellent interpersonal and communication skills, expert knowledge of SACT and the ability to work sensitively, collaboratively and effectively with a wide spectrum of multidisciplinary and diverse teams. You must also show enthusiasm and motivation to assist with service developments in collaboration with other stakeholders.
SACT knowledge and experience is essential.
It is essential that you are a UK NMC Registered Level 1 Adult Nurse with extensive post registration experience within an acute care setting.
You should be able to evidence your continuing professional development along with excellent clinical knowledge, and communication skills. You must be willing to undertake further education specific to this role at masters level.
You will be expected to work flexibly to meet the needs of this service.
