Full Job Description

We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced hotel Sales Manager to join the Sandman Hotel Group UK & Ireland at the 4 star Sandman Signature Glasgow Hotel. The successful applicant will be responsible for maximising the sales potential of the Hotel and achieving revenue budgets through business development for corporate rooms and groups segments. We are looking for a motivated, energetic and customer centric individual with a magnetic personality and passion for driving revenue and growth. The hotel Sales Manager must be able to build a strong, productive working relationships, have a 'go-getter' attitude with the ability to execute new opportunities and revenue streams.,

  • Drive all profitable revenue across corporate and group segments
  • Devise, execute and own a detailed and targeted Sales and Marketing Plan for the Hotel and Account Development Plans for the Hotel's Account Portfolio of Local and National Managed Accounts
  • Produce reports with analysis of performance against forecast and budget, along with outlook for the weeks/months ahead whilst providing a summary of all activities, successes, opportunities, threats and market intelligence
  • Ensure effective communication and co-ordination with other areas of the Hotel to ensure that relevant strategy is understood and aligned
  • Perform day to day sales activity including lead generation, sales calls, contracting and rate negotiation, site inspections, attendance at trade shows and client entertaining
  • Identify opportunities and cross sell to the wider Sandman Hotel Group UK&I
  • Support the UK&I Sales Team with Special Projects and Group Sales Team activities
  • To ensure the accurate processing, distribution, recording/filing and follow up of all sales correspondence, including the execution of contracts, quotations, confirmations, cancellations, etc.
  • Identify key competitors and carry out regular competitor analysis monitoring their performance, rates and sales activity

    The Sales Manager will be a highly motivated, dynamic person with excellent verbal and written communication and the ability to engage with clients and colleagues with ease. They will be a self-starter with the ability to take initiative and possess good decision-making skills. The Sales Manager will have excellent attention to detail and high guest service standards., A result orientated Hotel Sales Manager with a passion for hospitality and interacting with people
  • A first-class networker and communicator with excellent project management skills and an eagle eye of identifying new opportunities
  • A commercially astute, analytical multi-tasker who is motivated by a challenge with a proven track record of creating and executing strategic plans
  • Proactive with a hands-on approach with the ability to work collaboratively at all levels, driving results for the business
  • Detailed and analytical, able to interpret data and present results to stakeholders and at a senior level
  • Own transport and a clean driving License
  • Minimum 2 years experience in a similar role
  • Knowledge of Opera Cloud advantageous
