Skylark Lasers is on an exciting growth trajectory, and we're looking for an experienced, results-driven Business Development Manager to play a central role in driving that expansion.
With a strong product-market fit and ambitious plans ahead, this role offers the opportunity to make a significant impact by driving sales growth, shaping strategic direction, and supporting entry into new customer segments.
Who will you be working for?
Skylark Lasers is transforming a number of industries with cutting-edge diode pumped, solid-state laser solutions. Their technology powers advancements in quantum and spectroscopy, as well as enabling productivity improvements in semiconductor manufacturing and inspection.
The role
As their Business Development Manager, you will be the driving force behind approaching and nurturing new business opportunities. With your proactive approach and entrepreneurial spirit, you will help the business connect with potential customers worldwide.

Responsibilities
- Identify and contact potential clients through a variety of proactive outreach channels.
- Qualify leads and engage in meaningful conversations to understand customer needs and align them with tailored solutions.
- Work closely with in-house technical specialists to drive sales outcomes.
- Stay ahead of industry trends, competitors, and product advancements to effectively position solutions.
- Maintain accurate records of activities, leads, and pipeline progress in CRM systems.
- Represent the company at industry conferences and customer meetings, including occasional travel.
To thrive as an applicant, you will have
- A degree or relevant technical background.
- Proven experience in selling technical products, ideally in photonics, semiconductors, or a similar field.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- A growth-oriented mindset with the ability to work independently and take initiative.
