Full Job Description

Anderson Knight is recruiting an experienced Sales Representative for a well-established company based in Glasgow.

The role of the Sales Representative is to develop a list of potential clients through lead generation from the Client’s website and social media channels. You will conduct outbound calls to prospective customers to promote the Clients products and services and capture essential customer information to tailor consultation appointments.


Main Duties and Responsibilities:

• Generate a database of potential sales leads in the UK through proactive calls and emails.

• Handle inbound calls from prospective customers.

• Ask pertinent questions to understand customer requirements.

• Generate interest and schedule appointments over the phone. (Meet and Greet)

• Capture data, plan, and diarise follow-ups.

• Answer client questions about products, prices, and availability.

• Provide input to Sales Management on developing additional business and generating more leads (e.g., sales flyers, selling strategy, target customer groups, etc.).

• Prepare weekly and monthly reports.

• Manage welcome calls to set customer expectations through the onboarding journey and aftercare.

• Achieve agreed sales targets and call frequency.

• Conduct upselling calls to the existing customer base on a scheduled basis.

• Handle the administration of order processing, including initial orders.

• Provide input to Management on product and sales strategy.


Key Attributes and Skills:

• Educated to Standard Grade/GCSE or equivalent. 

• Competent in all Microsoft Office packages.

• Ability to quickly build rapport with customers.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Able to work comfortably in a fast-paced environment.

• Ability to work toward and achieve sales targets.

• Ability to build strong working relationships.

• Ability to multi-task.

• Ability to persuade, influence, and negotiate.


To be considered for this position, it is essential that you have relevant previous experience in a similar role, such as telesales, telemarketing, or prospecting business leads.
