Hourly Rate: £12.75 - £13.43

Salary: £23280.40 - £24521.40 pro rata per annum (Term Time Only)

Contract Duration: Permanent

Hours: 15 hours

Please note that the annual salary advertised is for a full-time role, based on 35.00 /37.00 hours per week. If the position you are applying for is part time or you are only going to be working part of the year, i.e., a term time contract for 38 or 39 weeks per year, the annual salary will be paid on a pro-rata basis including a number of additional weeks for annual leave entitlement when the position is term time.

Role Purpose

The purpose of the post is to provide assistance to the Home Economics staff to ensure the smooth running of the Department. Assisting the Teachers of Home Economics with general departmental auxiliary tasks, collate food orders and order bulk supplies via Business World on a weekly basis including food for exam assignments as agreed by department teachers, setting up ingredient trolleys and classroom tables with required ingredients and perishables in fridge (labelled where necessary), clearing and cleaning trolleys after lessons, shop locally for ingredients, distribute stores to each classroom, ensure that each room is supplied with cleaning supplies, monitor and keep tidy all main food stores, fabric, freezers and refrigerator together with washing for department and storage of laundry equipment
