Vacancy Information

The salary advertised is full time (35 hours per week, 52 weeks per year). Sessional posts will be pro-rated accordingly.

Hourly rate of pay: £12.29 - £13.11
This is a 39-week sessional post i.e. working hours will be during school term time plus in-service days.

Days and times of work:
Monday - Thursday, 08:00-16:00
Friday, 08:00-13:00

North Berwick High School is a secondary school in the beautiful coastal town of North Berwick, which received an excellent HMIE inspection report in June 2020. The current school roll is 1052. Expansion work to create more classrooms and improved facilities has recently been completed. Strong links have been developed with the local community and a broad range of extra curricular activities are on offer. The ethos of the school is underpinned by the NBHS values of curiosity, kindness, diligence and belonging. We aspire to excellence in learning and teaching and our school motto “Aim Higher” speaks to this ambition.

This post is within our Administration Team. The Administration team consists of seven members of staff, providing excellent support to pupils, staff, parents and visitors. The successful candidate will deal with first aid, including pupil medication, as well as completing photocopying for staff and printing of school reports. Organisational and communication skills are essential as the successful candidate will lead the school vaccination programme and the organisation of first aid training. The ability to prioritise work and to work well with others are also essential.

Job Requirements

Relevant Qualifications
Good standard of general education.
First Aid Qualification or willing to work towards.
