As Second Chef, you'll support the Head Chef in preparing nutritious, well-balanced meals and ensure the highest standards of cleanliness, safety, and service are maintained. Your culinary skills and team spirit will make a meaningful impact on the daily lives of our residents.,

• Prepare, cook, and serve hot and cold meals that meet individual dietary needs and preferences
• Assist with menu planning and stock ordering to ensure a varied and nutritious offering
• Maintain excellent hygiene and cleanliness standards in line with food safety guidelines
• Record fridge/freezer temperatures and monitor food quality
• Ensure proper stock rotation and safe storage of supplies
• Clean and store all kitchen equipment, crockery, and utensils safely
• Adhere to Health & Safety, fire safety, and infection prevention protocols
• Contribute to the setup of kitchen routines and systems in our new home
  
  City & Guilds 706 1 & 2 or equivalent (achieved or working towards)
• Basic Food Hygiene Certificate
• Experience working in a kitchen, ideally within a care or healthcare environment
• Confidence to lead the kitchen in the absence of the Head Chef
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach
• Passion for preparing high-quality meals that support wellbeing and enjoyment
