Position:
An opportunity has arisen for a secondment opportunity for 18 months for a Assistant Health and Safety Adviser based at Ailsa Hospital, however you will have to travel to different sites per the post remit.
What you will do:
You will provide operational level input to support the Service Lead and Advisers in driving forward the organisations Health and Safety Agenda across a diverse range of work activities to meet statutory requirements, and to support in the delivery of key organisational objectives.

Knowledge, training and/or experience required to do the job:
We require a team member who has the ability to produce clear and concise written reports following adverse event review, audit and measuring performance programmes or statistical analysis, as well as to assist in the development and review of Health, Safety and Wellbeing policies and procedures. You must have an ability to support in influencing key stakeholders within the organisations complex structure, and to provide support and encouragement to managers and staff at all levels and within all service areas.
Your application must reflect these qualities, and you will hold or be working towards a NEBOSH General Certificate or demonstrate substantive experience in a relevant field.
Previous attendance on an instructor/key worker course in Moving and Handling and Violence and Aggression Training would be advantageous, to support our wider service at times of pressure, though development into this can be supported for applicants who do not yet fit this trainer specification.
You must be familiar with digital systems, being able to prepare reports and presentations using a range of Microsoft Office packages.

Hours:
37 hours per week.
Driving Licence/Car Ownership:
A driving licence is essential as this post serves the entire NHS Ayrshire & Arran area.
