Full Job Description
The Springfield Group is recruiting for a motivated Senior Accounts Assistant to support our busy finance team. This full-time position is based in our Larbert office. Working hours are 37.5 hours per week Monday to Friday, exclusive of a half hour unpaid lunch break each day.
About the Role
You will support the finance team with business accounting and processing activities. This role will cover Walker Group, Springfield M & M Homes and Springfield Timber Kits.
This includes processing sub-contractor valuations, house sales and invoices, reconciling statements and processing and monitoring utility bills. You will also complete weekly and monthly Payments, cashbook posting, bank reconciliations and intercompany recharges. CIS returns and Subcontractor Payment Certificate returns will be covered by this role along with basic administration tasks. You will also be on hand to answer any queries raised by staff, external clients or providers.
Additionally, you will be monitoring and liaising with processing staff regarding all site invoices, pod’s and any queries in time for monthly cut-offs. This is a varied role and you will be required to operate over two different account systems, Microsoft Dynamics and COINS for the different companies.
About you
Educated to at least SCQF Level 5 in Maths and English;
Sub-Contractor/CIS experience would be advantageous;
Able to work to deadlines and deal with conflicting priorities in a flexible and effective manner;
Excellent interpersonal skills;
Calm under pressure with a willingness to undertake and learn new tasks;
Able to prioritise and organise work;
Excellent oral and written communication skills, together with accuracy and attention to detail;
Basic computer skills such as using word, excel, outlook and using the internet is essential.
