As a Senior Advisor in the HR Transformation - Compliance & Audit team, you will provide first point of contact support on a wide range of HR related queries to a variety of customers. You will also provide managers and employees with guidance and training, including those relating to employee payments. You will also support the administration of the Cycle to Work, Buy, Bank and Unpaid Leave schemes and Green Car Scheme. 

Administration of the Green Car Scheme will include criteria checks, setting up employees to the scheme as well processing changes to agreements such as re-writes and early terminations.

You will be responsible for checking regular reports for accuracy of data and issuing variation of contracts.  You will process invoices, credit notes and ad hoc deductions. Therefore, good organisational skills and customer service is paramount to this role.

You will assist the Team Lead on HR Compliance and Audit initiatives and have input to the development of controls to ensure compliance with financial regulations. You will support the Team Lead in the collation and information gathering for various audits and specific information requests such as Freedom of Information and Subject Access requests. You will communicate with various stakeholders on a variety of topics including those relating to employee payment reports and audits, ensuring that quality standards are maintained.

In short, you will be part of a team that will carry out regular audits to test the integrity of HR data and seek to continually improve processes and quality standards, to provide positive outcomes to meet the needs of our customers.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Providing first point of contact support to customers in relation to a wide range of HR related queries across different communication platforms.
  • Supporting the Team Lead on HR Compliance and Audit initiatives and develop systems of control to ensure compliance with financial regulations.
  • Supporting the Team Lead by undertaking audits to verify, validate, collate and provide appropriate evidence for requests, including those from external agencies, in line with relevant governance to support the due diligence of HR and payroll processes. In conjunction with the Team Lead, take any corrective action that is required.
  • Supporting the Team Lead in monitoring and liaising with managers regarding various HR Data reports including, Occupancy End Reports and Employee Payments reports.
  • Respond to Freedom of Information and Subject Access request and assist with the administration of the Document Management System in line with GDPR legislation.
  • Assist the Team Lead in the coordination and administration of the Cycle to Work, Green Car and annual Buy, Bank and Unpaid leave schemes.
  • Work in partnership with all stakeholders, including participation in support meetings and other stakeholder engagement activities, aligned with the HR Transformation and Engagement project plan and provide reports, briefings, and presentations as and when required.
  • Work with the teams within the ESC to resolve compliance issues, train or raise awareness of recurring issues and feedback on audit and compliance check findings.
  • In conjunction with staff, ensure that Standard Operating Procedures on all HR processes in the Employee Service Centre are created, ensuring ownership and reviews of them continually to seek improvement and in line with changes.

The Individual

It is essential that you are an excellent communicator with strong analytical skills and attention to detail, as well as good verbal and written skills. Excellent IT skills with experience in using MS Office. Knowledge of iTrent would be advantageous.

You should be a customer focused individual with excellent time management skills, able to work in a fast-paced environment with conflicting priorities. You should be able to work on your own initiative and have experience of working in with internal and external partners and be comfortable challenging current practices.

You must be educated to SVQ3 level, HNC or equivalent qualification, with significant experience within in a HR field.

This post is temporary till 31/10/2027.

Working Pattern

  • Monday - Thursday (8.45am - 4.45pm)
  • Friday (8.45am - 4.15pm)
