Full Job Description

  • Architect with 15- 20 years of experience of Industrial projects having experience of designing Control Rooms, PIB Buildings, Admin Buildings, Canteen etc. in a design office of repute. Should have exposure to design office practices and familiarity with computer aided design and 3D modeling tools.
  • Major Responsibilities:
  • Shall perform / supervise calculations, prepare material requisitions, service requisitions, technical specifications and quantity take-offs and provide input for design drawings during all phases of projects.
  • Shall check / review the drawings prepared by the designers.
  • Shall assist in the development of basic layout drawings.
  • Shall lead conceptual studies, proposals.
  • Shall create perspectives and presentation of design to client.
  • Provide technical training.

    Minimum 5-year degree in Architecture from an accredited college or university.
  • Preference will be given to the candidate with Master's degree.
  • Professional license from a recognized licensing board and/or LEED certification shall be of added advantage.
  • Experience of making Architectural presentation shall be an added advantage
  • Knowledge of discipline engineering techniques and design calculation principles.
  • Knowledge of precedents and latest trends in architectural engineering, the principles, and practices of related technical areas.
  • Understanding of Engineering Procedures and design guides.
  • Thorough understanding of the roles played by other engineering disciplines on projects.
  • Understanding of regulatory Indian and International codes and standards, industry practices and design criteria pertinent to architectural engineering design.
  • Knowledge of constructability and applicable standards and codes including OSHA.
  • Proficiency in the use of Revit and exposure to BIM is essential.
  • Proficient in selection of material from constructability and total installed cost perspective.
  • Proven ability of managing a team of engineers and designers will be an added advantage.
  • Previous experience of Control centre design.
  • Basic Knowledge of hydrocarbon plant and blast requirements for the building.
  • Control centre plot plan with respect to approach road, plant, utility inlets, etc.
  • Main control room requirements like consoles, materials, acoustics, ergonomics, and light fixtures.
  • Understanding flow and adjacency to MCR concerning Rack room, Engineering room, shift superintendent, OTS, support staff, war room, pantry etc.
  • Control centre Equipment knowledge and locations.
  • Console design and requirements.
  • MCR operator's vision angles concerning monitors and Large Video Screens
  • Security requirements
  • Open office
  • NBC, fire, Local bylaws, etc.
  • Architects should have basic knowledge of CS, MEP, IT, DCS, Security and Fire detection & suppression for blast resistant Control centre.
  • Our concern is Bechtel's architect does not have previous experience in Control centre and blast resistant buildings.
  • Skill in oral and written communication.
  • Should be proficient in using MS office tools.
