Full Job Description

Here are some of the duties your role will include: -

· Lead and manage the asset stewardship and inspection of operational property building services and plant assets in accordance with asset policy and technical strategy.

· Make recommendations for repair and renewal works and assist with the development and management of critical asset maintenance and renewal work banks and plans. Determine asset condition to identify and validate renewal proposals.

· Lead the production of planned maintenance and renewal remits and their inclusion in the work bank. Oversee the development and implementation of schemes to verify whether requirements are sufficient, correctly interpreted and delivered. Specify and monitor the implementation of control measures where proposed works are deferred.

· Act as sponsor for complex and specialist maintenance and all renewal schemes. Discharge all sponsor’s accountabilities in accordance with corporate policy.

· Lead the engineering analysis and risk assessment of maintenance and renewals schemes during the early development phase, in compliance with Network Rail’s standards and procedures. Develop business cases for maintenance and renewal schemes, where appropriate.

· Lead the review of proposals from other asset groups or external organisations that impact on maintenance or renewal activity, identify potential synergies and develop optimised plans as applicable.

· Monitor trends in maintenance and renewal work, asset condition, failure and failure precursors. Confirm that appropriate action is specified to predict and prevent similar failures.

· Provide engineering support and participate in investigations of incidents relating to building services and plant maintenance and renewals.

· Lead and manage the reporting of tenant lease non-compliance and the monitoring and assurance of tenant maintenance and dilapidations with particular reference to building services and plant.

· Develop and implement processes to maintain records relating to the existence, configuration, modification history of building services and plant assets in the recognised asset management systems.

· Chartered Engineer, or able to demonstrate an equivalent level of competence.

· Membership of relevant professional institution

· Degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant subject

· Substantial relevant experience of operational property engineering

· Comprehensive knowledge of policies and standards relating to operational property

Salary: Starting at £55,596 and rising to £62,546 per annum.
