Senior Business Analyst, Laboratory Systems

We are seeking a Senior Business Analyst to join Q² Solutions, IQVIA's laboratory business supporting industry leading Clinical Trials Laboratory systems. This position is remote or hybrid as we have a state of the art laboratory in Edinburgh, Scottland. As a Senior Business Analyst, you will provide expertise and systems support in developing and enhancing our custom Clinical Trials Protocol Management system for high volume laboratory with direct oversight of system modules design and implementation. This system supports innovative work in developing drugs and caring for patients to improve healthcare across many therapeutic areas. • Formulating and defining systems scope and objectives based on both user needs and a good understanding of applicable business systems and requirements.
• Devising or modifying procedures to solve complex problems considering equipment capacity and limitations, operating time, and form of desired results.
• Analyzing business and user needs, documenting requirements, and translating into proper system requirement specifications.
• Guiding and advising less-experienced Business Systems Analysts.
• Working at the highest technical level of most phases of systems analysis while considering the business implications of the application of technology to the current and future business environment.
  
  Experience in the Central Laboratory and/or Clinical Trials industry.
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Business Administration, or equivalent experience.
• Thorough experience in systems analysis.
• Knowledge of business-wide applications (e.g. third party software and internal operational applications, etc.) or IQVIA client-facing applications and products.
• Other Equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be accepted in lieu of degree.
The Knowledge, Skills and Abilities needed for this role:
• Demonstrated ability to understand client requirements as well as underlying infrastructure applications, systems and processes to enable execution of those skills.
• Thorough knowledge of IQVIA data and current systems.
• Thorough knowledge of the Clinical Trials Industry and applicable regulatory standards.
