Full Job Description

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK employing around 40,000 staff in a wide range of clinical and non-clinical professions and job roles. We deliver acute hospital, primary, community and mental health care services to a population of over 1.15 million and a wider population of 2.2 million when our regional and national services are included.

The shift pattern is Mon-Fri (9-5)

NHS Scotland is reducing their full time working week from 37.5 to 37 hours per week from 1 April 2024 but with no change in pay.  This reduction will also be applied pro rata for part time staff.  This advert and any subsequent offer/contract of employment therefore reflects the new working hours.  However, as not all service areas will be able to adopt the 37 hour working week immediately from 1 April 2024, you may be required to work up to an additional 30 minutes per week for a temporary period for which you would be paid until the service you are working in changes rosters or working patterns to accommodate the new reduced working week.  If you have any questions or concerns please contact the Recruiting Board.

An exciting opportunity for an eHealth Senior Business Analyst/Project Lead has arisen in our NHSGGC eHealth Strategy & Programmes Electronic Patient Record (EPR) Team.  As a Senior Business Analyst/Project Lead (SBA/PL), you will work closely with healthcare professionals across the NHSGGC Board to develop digital technology that will help transform services to provide a truly integrated and modern health and social care service.

You will lead the successful specification, initiation, reporting and delivery of complex clinical and non-clinical technology solutions as set out in the eHealth Digital Strategy. The eHealth Senior BA/PL post will include a varied and interesting range of project management duties and you will work with services across Acute and Community (Mental Health, Adult and Childrens). Engagement will also include other external organisations and as such a high level of interpersonal communication skills is expected.  We are looking to appoint a candidate who can demonstrate applying excellent planning and organisational skills to their daily work tasks, work well under pressure and have a high level of attention to detail. The ability to work as part of a team as well as being able to exercise initiative and work independently when required. You should be qualified to degree level or equivalent experiential knowledge, preferably within the NHS or public sector and have previous practical experience in the specification, development and implementation of information systems (preferably clinical systems) using different methodologies, e.g. agile.
