Knox Academy is a truly comprehensive school situated in Haddington, East Lothian, Scotland.  At census 2023 the roll was 902.  Our school values are Ambition, Respect and Community and we work through these values to ensure all pupils feel included and valued.  We aim to support all of our young people to strive to reach their potential and leave to a positive and sustained destination.  We aim to be the best we can, in all that we do for our young people and to give them a high quality educational experience.

Our curriculum provides a full range of subjects from S1-S6.  We aim to meet the needs of all our pupils, providing a curriculum that is appropriate in terms of breadth, depth and challenge.  Our broad general education (BGE) incorporates  pace, challenge and  personalisation and choice, and this allows pupils to be ready to meet the demands of our senior phase curriculum, which has subjects ranging from National 2 level through to Advanced Higher. We also link with other East Lothian schools to provide opportunities for study across a wide range of other subjects and specialist academies.

An opportunity has arisen for a Senior Business Support Assistant.  Working in the main school office the successful candidate will be enthusiastic, energetic and with the ability to communicate their enthusiasm to the pupils and staff.  Training in the use of council systems is available, but some experience/confidence using Microsoft Office would be an advantage.  Flexibility is essential in this post together with good organisational skills.

Please feel free to contact the Business Manager, Peter Luke, on or pluke@knox.elcschool.org.uk for any additional information required or an informal discussion regarding this position.
