Full Job Description

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK employing around 40,000 staff in a wide range of clinical and non-clinical professions and job roles. We deliver acute hospital, primary, community and mental health care services to a population of over 1.15 million and a wider population of 2.2 million when our regional and national services are included.

This is a fixed term position is until 31st March 2026

The shift pattern for this position: hours to include 1 evening at Easterhouse HC 6-9:30pm. Remaining hours by agreement.

(Please note the salary is Pro Rata) for part time hours.

This 18.5hr post will provide administrative support to Youth Health Service & associated programmes. Hours to be agreed with successful candidate but also to meet needs of the service and to include one shift 1.30-9.30pm on a Monday evening in Easterhouse Health Centre.

The post-holder may be asked to cover additional evening services to assist with colleagues leave.
The service provides holistic support to young people.

A key role of the post holder is:

  • managing referrals to the service
  • administering appointment systems
  • managing waiting lists
  • enquiries to the service
  • liaising with the clinical team
  • collating performance management data and supervising members of the Business Support team

Experience in the following systems would be desirable: Microsoft Office, CHI, EMIS WEB, PIMS, SCI Store, SCI
Gateway, Clinical Portal, Care First, SSTS, EESS, FM First etc.

Desirable Experience:

  • working with young people is an advantage.
  • The ability to plan, organise and prioritise work 
  • communicate effectively with stakeholders / young people / families are key skills for this post.

The core team are based in Gartnavel Royal Hospital, however the service is delivered in 9 venues across the city.
