An opportunity has arisen for a Senior Charge Nurse within the Children's Unit at University Hospital Crosshouse. What you will do : The Children's Unit consists of a

  • 23 bedded children's inpatient unit,
  • Paediatric Assessment Unit
  • Children's Outpatient Unit. Q AWHB 9N,L
  • You will be continuing responsibility for the assessment of care needs, the development, implementation and evaluation of programmes of care and the setting of standards of care within the Children's Unit. You will be lead on service development across all categories of care taking overall responsibility in the provision of safe and skilled care. This is inclusive of all 3 clinical areas of the Children's Unit. You are responsible for the management of the nursing and team, the allocated departmental resources and budget to ensure the delivery and maintenance of high quality clinical standards and the efficient running of the services., Some of our vacancies are for internal candidates only .     First Level NMC (Nursing and Midwifery Council) Registered Children's Nurse (RSCN or RN Child) Educated to degree level with evidence of continuous professional development or Equivalent professional experience. Further education / evidence of Continuous Professional Development (CPD) in area of clinical speciality.
