We deliver acute hospital, primary, community and mental health care services to a population of over 1.15 million and a wider population of 2.2 million when our regional and national services are included.

The shift pattern for this position is rotational, dayshifts and nightshifts over 7 days.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Charge Nurse to join the team within Ward 3C, Royal Hospital for Children. Ward 3C is 14 bedded inpatient area caring  for children under a range of specilaities including respiratory, orthopaediacs and medical. We are seeking highly motivated and experienced Registered nurse with relevant experience at Band 6 level or above who will embrace this dynamic and challenging role. A commitment to the development of high quality evidence based care is essential, combined with the tenacity and passion required to continue to improve and drive the  team  forward. It is essential you are a Registered Nurse with current NMC registration and have substantial post registration experience.

You should also have the ability to:

  • lead teams
  • lead practice and demonstrate continuous professional development
  • work effectively as part of a multi-professional / multi-agency team.
