Full Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Developer to join our Application Services team. The successful candidate will employ modern software development practices, patterns, and tools to build, run, and maintain customer communication management (CCM) applications for both internal and external users. Located within the Group Technology and Operations division of the Royal London Group, the Application Services Team oversees our full range of products across the group.,

  • Participate in the development and design of sophisticated technical solutions, effectively managing your own workload.
  • Provide expert technical advice and guidance to fellow software developers, both proactively and reactively.
  • Ensure that all code complies with Royal London Group's standards, guidelines, and quality benchmarks for the given technology.
  • Promote close collaboration with other disciplines within the team.
  • Actively engage in knowledge transfer and share experiences related to your area of technical expertise at the practice level.

    A solid understanding of database methodologies
  • Proficient in updating data models and schemas
  • Experience with the LaserFiche document management system or a similar platform, as well as familiarity with the SmartCOMM customer communication tool or an equivalent CCM, is desirable.
  • Experienced in SQL
  • A thorough understanding of Azure Dev Ops (ADO)
  • Capable of managing own workload whilst scheduling and delegating tasks to fellow developers.
  • A growth mindset with the ability to support, coach and mentor others.
