New Supply team

Senior Development Co-ordinator

NLC13  £49,765 - £54,547

North Lanarkshire Council, as one of Scotland’s largest local authorities, is leading an exciting and ambitious regeneration programme for its town centres and surrounding areas as part of its plans for inclusive economic growth. Working with a variety of partners, the New Supply team has a key role in guiding this regeneration to drive improvements towards sustainable development with the aim to deliver 5,000 new homes by 2035. We are committed to creating prosperity and making North Lanarkshire a great place to live, learn, work, invest and visit.

We have created a new role of Senior Development Co-ordinator to support the delivery of the council’s new supply / regeneration programmes by providing specialist advice on all design related activities from RIBA Stage 0-4/6, including strategic site appraisal, development of Client brief, managing stakeholder requirements, risk management and removing any barriers to delivery.

You will play a key role within the New Supply team to ensure it delivers a high quality service and be involved in responding efficiently to challenges and successfully delivering high capital value development projects in line with the council’s financial and project management governance. Projects are expected to comply with any external funding conditions and within agreed timelines. You will manage a range of professional/technical staff and maximise the application of resources to support the delivery of the New Supply housing regeneration programme.

You will engage and build collaborative relationships with a range of stakeholders and strategic partners across the Council including Elected Members and externally with strategic partners, government departments, developers, agencies, community groups and funders.

This post represents an exciting and challenging opportunity for highly motivated individuals. You should be educated to Degree / SVQ level 4/HND or equivalent in relevant discipline with substantial experience within the housing development sector, construction or a related field.

Benefits of working with the Council include a generous annual leave entitlement, family friendly policies and a career average earnings pension scheme.

This role will be based in our corporate office in Motherwell but will operate under our hybrid model of office and home-based working with an expectation to travel to council facilities and sites across North Lanarkshire.
