The Post:
We are looking for an Apheresis / Whole Blood Senior Donor Carer Venepuncturist to join our existing team of staff who provide a high standard of care to our donors; you will be required to Perform and monitor venepunctures to obtain apheresis platelets, plasma donations, whole blood and samples in accordance with nationally approved procedures.
The Candidate:
We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic, motivated, flexible person to undertake this challenging and interesting post. Candidates should be educated to SVQ level 3 or equivalent and have previous experience of dealing with the public in a health or service environment.
The successful candidate will be required to undergo a PVG Scheme Disclosure Scotland check. Any candidate who have lived/worked overseas for more than 12 months in the preceding 5 years will also be required to provide a criminal record check from the appropriate overseas agency.
Location and Working Pattern:
This post will be based in Inverness & North Blood Donor Centre within the Raigmore Hospital site.
The work pattern for this post is Monday to Sunday, 21 hours per week.
It is a condition of this employment that you must live and remain a resident within the UK for the post in which you will be employed with NSS.
