Senior Early Years Officer

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Early Years Officer (SEYO) to act as lead practitioner in providing high quality learning experiences for children aged 2-5 years at Camelon Early Learning and Childcare Centre.

Early learning and childcare is available for 5 days per week. The ELC Centre is open 8am to 6pm Monday to Friday and is open on a full year basis.

You will have a well-developed knowledge and understanding of current national guidance relating to early learning and childcare and will be able to evidence this in your practice.  Experience in a senior role would be advantageous.

You will hold as a minimum an HNC in Childcare and Education (or equivalent) allowing you to register as a practitioner with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) without conditions. You should be able to demonstrate your commitment to continuous professional development and learning.

If you are the successful candidate, you will be required to gain/maintain PVG scheme membership.

The position is full time on a full year contract (not term time) and is permanent within Falkirk Council Children’s Services.  

Please note the service will operate 8am to 6pm and you will be required to work a shift pattern between these hours.
