Full Job Description

Assist with the development of HVAC systems, providing design input to the subcontractor and assurance that the architecture and detailed design are fit for purpose

Ensuring technical viability and safe operation of specific HVAC systems that the individual is responsible for

Support the Principal engineer as the specialist point of contact with customers and/or suppliers in assigned areas on engineering matters, to resolve problems and issues and to maintain awareness in both parties of priorities and objectives

Provide help and direction to less experienced team members to support both their effective working and their development

Experience in the design, build, integration, support and operation of heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems

Knowledge of processes and tools used in mechanical engineering

Awareness of life cycle management reviews of bids and programmes

Desirable:

Experience and expertise, in marine engineering systems

Experience in engineering or a defence related environment

Engineers at all levels should possess an academic qualification in Engineering or other related STEM subjects as well as specific (either academic or professional) qualifications and become recognised as Incorporated or Chartered Engineers through an appropriate recognised professional institution. Engineers are encouraged, and will be supported, to achieve the relevant accreditation. Preference will be given to candidates who are already professionally registered.

Salary: Up to £44,910 depending on skills and experience, You'll receive benefits including a competitive pension scheme, enhanced annual leave allowance and a Company contributed Share Incentive Plan. Our HVAC Chilled Water Team:

As a Senior HVAC Engineer working on the Canadian Surface Combatant Project, you will utilise your mechanical engineering experience and knowledge to resolve specialist design problems and issues. This is a varied role with different challenges everyday working closely with suppliers, customers and other team members.

This is an excellent opportunity where you will develop in the role and be part of a large and long term global naval project with exciting progression prospects.
