Full Job Description

The Senior Logistics Coordinator is tasked with overseeing and managing varied daily logistics operations, ensuring the smooth movement of goods between suppliers and customers in compliance with policies, procedures, and HM Revenue & Customs (HMRC) regulations.

Duties:

  • Responsible for overseeing daily logistics operations, ensuring timely and efficient shipment and transportation (by air, sea, and road) of all equipment including internationally.
  • Addressing and resolving issues related to shipment delays or damaged goods.
  • Securing competitive freight cost quotes and acting accordingly.
  • Managing imports and ensuring the correct application of HMRC authorisations, reviewing the use of tariff codes, and ensuring proper CPC codes and incoterms are applied.
  • Maintaining records of all dispatches, imports, and exports through the Export/Import and Delivery registers.
  • Applying for relevant Certificates of Origin and commodity codes.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with internal stakeholders, suppliers, transport companies, and logistics partners to ensure optimal performance.

Requirements:

  • Knowledge and experience of business ERP system, ideally Microsoft D365.
  • Knowledge and experience of import and export procedures.
  • Multi-modal, domestic/international/local transportation experience.
