Full Job Description

We are looking for tech operating model and sourcing specialists to join our talented Financial Services team. You will be client facing, scoping solutions based on client need, and forming diverse teams to solve our clients' most complex problems. Our engagements range from visioning with C-Suite executives on the future of Technology in their business, through the design and delivery of the enabling operating model and sourcing strategy, to the detailed implementation of the process, organisation, and technical transformations., As a Senior Manager, you will be a senior team member within our team where you will have responsibilities for:

  • Advising Financial Services CIOs and Tech Leaders, helping them define their strategy to transform their organisations for the digital age, including how to re-structure large technology ecosystems to meet objectives.
  • Defining tech operating models to help our clients deliver their strategic ambitions by leveraging digital, cloud, and cutting-edge emerging technologies.
  • Defining how a client can utilise internal resources and the 3rd party supply market to deliver speed and value to the business.
  • Designing and leading programme(s) implement effective technology operating model change.
  • Helping clients define and source the necessary technology outcomes (products, capabilities, services).
  • Management of technology function transformations.
  • Defining and delivering commercial management and cost reduction services for clients.
  • Leading business and practice development activities relating to our growing our delivery capability.
  • Working effectively in diverse teams within an inclusive team culture where people are recognised for their contribution., Building and maintaining strong client relationships.
  • Identifying, leading and supporting potential sales opportunities.
  • Leading and providing senior oversight to the delivery of multi-workstream commercial engagements.
  • Experience of leading diverse teams within an inclusive team culture where people are recognised for their contribution.
  • Acting as a subject matter expert within Deloitte - supporting our UK Global capability with your knowledge and experience.
  • Providing the expertise necessary to lead and coach the team and enhance and develop the team capabilities.
  • Develop thought leadership, represent the team at forums and support external Deloitte eminence events and opportunities., As a Senior Manager, you will be a senior team member within our team where you will have responsibilities for:
  • Helping teams improve their ways of working towards better value sooner, safer, happier by adopting various coaching, facilitation and delivery stances
  • Lead and guide cross-functional teams in adopting agile principles and practices, promoting a culture of collaboration and transparency
  • Facilitation of team self-organisation and delivery events as invited
  • Working with executive and portfolio level teams to influence leaders and create flow in enterprise wide processes such as portfolio management and risk and control
  • Identify and address any barriers or challenges to delivery, working with teams to overcome obstacles and drive continuous improvement
  • Bringing back learnings as to how teams are innovating and how that can be shared back with other teams and other clients through the wider practice
  • Leading business and practice development activities relating to our growing our delivery capability.
  • Working effectively in diverse teams within an inclusive team culture where people are recognised for their contribution.

    We are looking for candidates who are able to demonstrate skills and experience in some of the following:
  • Understanding of technology functions and how they deliver value to the business.
  • Understanding of strategy, from theory through to practice and application.
  • Experience of Technology Operations / Product Management - including Service Delivery, IT Service Management practices, ITIL, Automation, DevOps and/or Product Management and Delivery or equivalent.
  • Experience of understanding and articulating the impact of emerging technology trends such as AI, robotics, digital reality, cognitive technologies, and blockchain.
  • Experience in the delivery of large technology transformation programmes, incorporating people, process and/or technology changes.
  • Ability to work with Senior Stakeholders.
  • Experience working in the Financial Services Industry.
  • Proven track record of complex technology cost management and optimisation.
  • Experience in at least one of the Technology domains: Application Development and Management, Networks, Hosting and Cloud, End User Computing, Service Desk, and SIAM or equivalent.
  • Understanding of IT financial management including business case development, IT cost analysis and reduction, and IT service charging models.
  • Desirable experience of agile methodologies such as SAFe® and Scrum., Proven experience delivering transformation projects and knowledge of both traditional and agile delivery methodologies within financial services; Banking, Capital Markets, Payments, Investment Management, Insurance
  • Experience shaping programmes, understanding business challenges which you can translate and architect into delivery
  • Experience working within mature and immature agile teams as a team member or in a lead or facilitating role
  • Strong coaching and facilitation skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams
  • Agile methodologies and certifications, specifically Kanban, Disciplined Agile and/or ICAgile
  • Knowledge of other methods (e.g. Scrum, SAFe, LeSS, XP) is of interest but not required
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a focus on driving results and achieving organisational goals
  • Experience developing and implementing transformation strategies
  • Working with portfolio functions to redefine initiatives into outcomes aligned to value streams
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels
  • Proven experience developing market facing propositions, and building a strong sales pipeline through industry relationships
