Full Job Description
Reporting to the Operations Director, you will work with a small in-house team and be expected to manage your own workload, time and deadlines.
You will play a key role in promoting our legal services across our offices in Aberdeen, Dundee, Edinburgh and Glasgow.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop targeted advertising/sponsorship and marketing campaigns for the firm’s various practice areas, aligning them with both business objectives and firm-wide strategy.
- Support the design and production of legal marketing and communications materials, ensuring consistent house style, branding and layout.
- Produce in-house newsletters to keep colleagues informed and engaged.
- Manage relationships with external agencies.
- Provide and approve content for social media channels.
- Create and distribute client e-newsletters/e-briefings, keeping our clients informed about legal updates and firm news.
- Monitor competitors’ online activity and industry trends within the Scottish legal sector to optimise our marketing efforts.
- Manage online content and further develop the firm’s website and digital assets, ensuring they reflect our legal expertise and support our growth strategy.
- Ensure adherence to the firm’s social media policy and report any breaches.
- Measure and report on digital performance in relation to client engagement and lead generation.
- Take a key role in organising and managing logistics for seminars, conferences, and events, including coordinating venue arrangements, managing schedules, and overseeing any the set up and breakdown of marketing displays.
Skills & Qualifications Required
Essential
- Degree in Marketing or Digital Marketing
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a marketing role, ideally within the legal or professional services sector, with a solid understanding of digital marketing principles and best practices.
- Excellent copywriting and proofreading skills, particularly in relation to legal content.
- Highly analytical, with experience in creating digital campaigns that engage, inform and generate positive results.
- Proficient in using marketing tools, including Google Analytics, social media platforms and tools like Hootsuite.
- Excellent organisational skills and time management.
- Ability to manage workload independently and meet deadlines.
- Confident verbal and written communication skills.
- Fast, enthusiastic learner with excellent attention to detail.
- Clean driving licence
Advantageous:
- Skilled in using creative software, particularly for the creation of legal content, including images, videos and podcasts.
- Experience working with or managing relationships with media outlets, particularly those specialising in legal news.
