Full Job Description
This role is about leading insightful analysis of the national cancer system and wider health service-examining patient experiences, system challenges, and impactful innovations-to identify evidence-based solutions that drive meaningful change. Acting as a thought leader, you'll bring expertise in systems thinking and theory of change to shape Macmillan's national influence and help prioritise where and how the organisation can make the biggest difference.,
- Analyse the national cancer system to understand patient experiences, system challenges, and what's working-helping to shape evidence-based solutions that drive real change.
- Be a thought leader for Macmillan, offering insight and expertise on national health system challenges and opportunities.
- Use tools like systems thinking, theory of change, and 'what works' evidence to understand problems and identify impactful solutions.
- Contribute to big-picture thinking across the organisation, helping Macmillan decide where to focus and how national system change can help deliver its goals.
We're looking for someone who: - Has a strong track record of creating evidence-based solutions that lead to real, national change.
- Understands how the healthcare system works as a whole and can apply systems thinking to tackle complex problems.
- Brings sharp analytical skills-able to dig into data, uncover root causes, spot gaps, and shape impactful solutions.
Can bring people together-internally and externally-to build shared thinking and drive action. - Knows how to navigate and make an impact across all four nations of the UK, adapting to different political and policy landscapes. In return, we offer a range of benefits including:
