Fixed Term Contract/Secondment Until 31 March 2025

We are seeking a Senior Nurse for GAP Inpatient service at Murray Royal Hospital who is passionate about working collaboratively to drive forward service improvements. You will be an experienced Registered Nurse- Mental Health.

You will be responsible operationally and professionally for the Nursing Services delivered on the MRH Site, including Acute Admissions, Rehabilitation, IHTT.

You will ensure the clinical contribution to service delivery is of the highest quality and is one that enhances the persons experience through the provision of safe, effective, efficient, timely, equitable and person-centred care. You will have experience of leading change within a multi-disciplinary environment and will have demonstrated a collaborative approach as a leader. Excellent communication and analytical skills will be essential.

You must be registered on Sub-part 1: RN1 or RNA or Sub-part 2: RN2 of the UK NMC Register

Hours of work are:  37 per week

Internal - Written approval must be sought from your line manager prior to applying for this secondment.  You will be required to bring this if shortlisted for interview. 

NHS Scotland is reducing their full time working week from 37.5 to 37 hours per week from 1 April 2024 but with no change in pay.  This reduction will also be applied pro rata for part time staff.  This advert and any subsequent offer/contract of employment therefore reflects the new working hours.  However, as not all service areas will be able to adopt the 37 hour working week immediately from 1 April 2024, you may be required to work up to an additional 30 minutes per week for a temporary period for which you would be paid until the service you are working in changes rosters or working patterns to accommodate the new reduced working week.  If you have any questions or concerns please contact the Recruiting Board.
