Position

An opportunity has arisen for a Senior Nurse Manager at The Johnnie Walker Bond.

What you will do:

This position will provide expert nursing, professional leadership, management and direction for Children and Young Peoples Universal Health Services across East Ayrshire. You will contribute to the senior management team for Childrens Health, Care and Criminal Justice services and will support and advise the Head of Service and Associate Nurse Director in achieving strategic and service objectives by supporting operational delivery working within the Health and Social Care Partnerships purpose, values and commitments.  You will have a lead role for the delivery of safe standards of nursing practice in East Ayrshire within span of control, ensuring a focus on safety, effective management of resources, continuous improvement, staff training and development and education and research. You will lead the continued development of strategy and strategic development of Health Visiting and School Nursing Services. This involves working in partnership clinical leads, senior managers, Local Authority partners and other agencies in line with good practice and organisational development requirements within East Health & Social Care Partnership. As the most Senior Nurse for Early Years Children and Families you will provide clinical and professional advice to arrange of practitioners and partners.

Knowledge, training and/or experience required to do the job:

  • Registered Nurse;
  • Graduate, Masters Level or have evidence of equivalent higher education/experience;
  • Evidence of senior operational/professional management experience and record of achievement in developing innovation and creative professional practice solutions to  achieve organisational objectives.
  • Experience of effectively managing service modernisation and redesign related initiatives and integrated professional nursing perspectives with service strategy
