 Based within Younger Adults, Headquarters, Motherwell, you will work on a variety of remits and tasks but will have a major role supporting Adult Protection policies, practice and procedures within Social Work Services, in conjunction with national, local and adult protection committee objectives. You will also ensure delivery of high quality services and contribute within your field of responsibility to compliance with North Lanarkshire Council’s corporate and Social Work’s policies, services and strategies while promoting the principles of person centred practice in social work service delivery. 

Possession of a Dip SW/CQSW or equivalent is essential along with significant post qualifying experience in a Social Work setting working with people who have a range of difficulties in their lives e.g. mental ill health, physical or learning disabilities etc and experience of working with children or adults at risk of harm. 

Registration with a relevant professional body eg the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) is essential
