Full Job Description

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK employing around 40,000 staff in a wide range of clinical and non-clinical professions and job roles. We deliver acute hospital, primary, community and mental health care services to a population of over 1.15 million and a wider population of 2.2 million when our regional and national services are included.

The shift pattern for this position is Monday - Friday.

Do you have great skills in developing relationships, building trust and supporting leaders and their teams with complex change and development? Glasgow City Health and Social Care Partnership is looking for people who can stand back from the crowd and use their vision and to assess, analyse and develop change solutions. We are looking for energetic Organisational Development Advisers to support the change and integration agenda in health and care in the city.

The post is responsible for co creating an approach to change with service teams, and for challenging everyday thinking in a way that supports and coaches service leads. Key to this will be the ability to build positive relationships using excellent facilitation and analytical skills to support whole system change. The post is part of the Organisational Change and Development Team. Working with the HSCPs Core Leadership Groups and the wider SMT, the team leads on and provides organisational change and development support across the HSCPs health and social care system, especially where there is system change, service redesign or business process improvements. You will have experience working within Health and Social Care or similar complex organisations including being able to manage ambiguity and complexity and to work through this with different audiences, demonstrating exemplary leadership skills and with the ability to demonstrate constructive challenge at all levels of the organisation.

We hope you will have supported individual and organisational change and will be familiar with behavioural and cultural change theory as well as being able to translate theory to practice for a range of staff and professional groupings but we are also interested in your developmental journey and to see if you have the behaviours, skills and commitment for the post.

NHS Scotland is reducing their full time working week from 37.5 to 37 hours per week from 1 April 2024 but with no change in pay.  This reduction will also be applied pro rata for part time staff.  This advert and any subsequent offer/contract of employment therefore reflects the new working hours.  However, as not all service areas will be able to adopt the 37 hour working week immediately from 1 April 2024, you may be required to work up to an additional 30 minutes per week for a temporary period for which you would be paid until the service you are working in changes rosters or working patterns to accommodate the new reduced working week.  If you have any questions or concerns please contact the Recruiting Board.

Candidates should provide original and authentic responses to all questions within the application form. The use of artificial intelligence (AI), automated tools, or other third-party assistance to generate, draft, or significantly modify responses is strongly discouraged. By submitting your application, you confirm that all answers are your own work, reflect your personal knowledge, skills and experience, and have not been solely produced or altered by AI or similar technologies.

Failure to comply with this requirement may result in your application being withdrawn from the application process.
