Full Job Description

The UK Student Recruitment and Outreach team take a leading role in supporting the achievement of the universitys recruitment targets. The work of the team includes the delivery of an annual programme of events targeted at raising awareness of the university, liaison with key schools and colleges that act as feeder institutions to the University and the provision of support and guidance to students in order to promote their transition to university., As the Senior Outreach Officer Colleges, you will have responsibility for planning, managing and implementing outreach activity for the Universitys core undergraduate UK market, specifically targeting colleges and prospective students within the college sector, from within Scotland and across the Rest of UK and Republic of Ireland. This will include oversight of the Associate Student Scheme as well as the management of a network of college articulation partnerships throughout Scotland.

In this role, you will manage a small team, overseeing work and motivating the team to achieve successful outcomes and work towards targets. Additionally, you will build and manage effective relationships with colleges and other external stakeholders, organise and deliver workshops and other events and contribute to the development and implementation of strategies and plans for student recruitment and widening participation.

We are currently seeking a self-motivated Senior Outreach Officer to join the UK Student Recruitment and Outreach team on a permanent basis.,

  • Experience in student recruitment, Higher Education marketing, communications or similar areas

  • Experience supervising a team

  • Experience of widening participation and/or supporting students from college backgrounds

  • Customer relationship building and management experience

  • Excellent proven presentation and customer service skills

  • Willingness to work flexible hours including evening and weekend work

  • A Valid UK Driving Licence
