We are looking for a Senior Planner to join our growing Net Zero Energy Business. This position would be based in Glasgow, with a flexible mixture of home-working and office collaboration time expected. If you are someone who can deliver projects, work closely with clients and internal teams to capture requirements, set up projects and deliver right-first-time solutions for the most challenging problems in Net Zero industry, then we would love you to apply. We are currently delivering a portfolio of projects spanning energy storage (hydrogen storage caverns), industrial decarbonisation and green hydrogen.

And when you join us, you'll be a part of a genuinely collaborative environment where everyone's voice is valued and treated equally., As a Senior Planner in our Net Zero Energy Business, you will be responsible for ensuring on time reporting to project teams and senior management to display control, progress and understanding in the design, procurement and execution phases. You will be an expert user in Primavera P6 capable of carrying out live schedule updates during interactive planning sessions and also overseeing the training of junior staff and carrying out reviews of their work in P6. The role may also include the following:

  • Working closely with Project Managers and delivery teams to develop and manage project schedules.

  • Gathering progress and information from project teams, clients and suppliers to facilitate accurate schedule updates.

  • Carrying out live schedule updates/modifications/what if scenarios during meetings.

  • Reporting to project teams, senior management and clients.

  • Developing, enhancing and implementing project controls tools and processes.

  • Line management and overseeing the development of junior colleagues.

You will be experienced in leading schedule workshops with project teams and clients, capable of carrying out live updates and modifications to P6 schedules with accuracy and speed.     In addition to having strong communication and leadership skills, you will be able to demonstrate a selection of the following desirable experience and attributes:
  • Minimum of HNC/HND in an Engineering discipline or relevant experience.

  • Exhibits a good engineering mind and has relevant industry experience in the Power and/or Oil and Gas sector.

  • Understanding of project lifecycle.

  • High level of competency in Primavera P6.

  • Experience of working with Earned Value Analysis.
