Senior Solicitor – Planning & Property
Permanent | Full-Time | Glasgow

Iconic Resourcing is proud to be recruiting for a Senior Planning & Property Solicitor on behalf of a leading energy sector client. This newly created role will play a pivotal part in supporting the business with strategic investment, customer connection, and network upgrade projects across its operational regions.

Key Responsibilities

In this dynamic role, you will:

  • Provide expert legal advice on all aspects of planning, consenting, and property matters.
  • Manage legal support for securing consents and land contracts for major infrastructure projects.
  • Lead the preparation and representation at public inquiries, hearings, and statutory submissions.
  • Support cross-functional teams, including internal stakeholders and external advisors, to drive strategic projects forward.
  • Deliver commercially pragmatic legal advice to senior stakeholders and executive teams.
  • Develop and implement innovative legal processes and best practices to enhance the business’s strategic objectives.

What We’re Looking For

To excel in this role, you’ll bring:

  • Qualification as a Solicitor with substantial experience in planning and/or property law.
  • Proven ability to deliver strategic legal advice, ideally within the energy or infrastructure sectors.
  • Experience managing large-scale development or energy projects, including handling environmental and legal consents.
  • A collaborative approach, with the ability to work closely with multidisciplinary teams and external bodies.
