• BA or PDA in Childhood Practice
• SVQ Level 4 in Playwork or SSCYP with a willingness to undertake BA/PDA in Childhood
Practice to meet registered manager requirements.
• Registration with Scottish Social Services Council
• PVG - working with Children
The postholder is able to demonstrate:
• Delivering a high quality Out of School Care service
• Experience of working directly with school aged children.
• Effective management and supervision skills
• Managing and facilitating change
• Managing and maximising resources
• Effective written and verbal communication
• Using a variety of ICT packages including email, internet and Microsoft applications

Duration: Permanent, Part Time Aberdeen City Council is currently in discussions with Trade Unions regarding a proposal to move from a standard 37-hour full-time working week to a standard 35-hour full-time working week. Please note: A decision has been reached, in consultation with our Trade Unions, that all new vacancies will be advertised on a maximum of 35 hours per week, and accordingly, new appointments made on a contract of 35 hours per week.
