Full Job Description
We're looking for a Senior Policy Advisor to join our Equality, Inclusion and Culture team. The policy work of this team is focused on improving access, experience and outcomes for medical students and doctors in their education, training and working environments., Additionally, the Senior Policy Advisor will provide ongoing case management support providing advice for disabled doctors and medical students, support general equality, diversity and inclusion related media communications and external and internal stakeholder management and event management.
- Experience developing open and evidence-based policy in health or health-related issues
- Knowledge and understanding of the Equality Act 2010 and how it relates to the workplace
- Ability to present policy reports (verbal/written) to a variety of audiences
- Influencing and diplomacy skills
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with counterparts in stakeholder organisations
- Personal resilience - needs to 'own' policy reports/proposals and withstand challenges
- Work effectively with other departments across the association
