Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior or Principal Mechanical Design Engineer to lead and shape our clients mechanical engineering projects. This role offers a unique opportunity to be involved in groundbreaking projects across various sectors, including commercial, residential, healthcare, and education, ensuring top-tier service and delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage mechanical design projects from concept through to completion.
- Produce detailed mechanical engineering designs, calculations, and specifications.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless integration of mechanical systems.
- Mentor and guide junior engineers, providing technical expertise and support.
- Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure the quality and compliance of installations.
- Collaborate with clients, architects, and contractors to ensure successful project delivery.
- Keep abreast of the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Chartered Engineer (CEng) status or working towards it.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in mechanical design engineering within the building services sector.
- Proficient in design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and other relevant tools.
- Strong understanding of building regulations and standards.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
