Full Job Description
We are seeking a Senior Project Manager to join our Power Generation business. Black & Veatch is a global leader in Gas across combustion turbine technologies: fast-response, simple cycle assets; baseload, combined cycle facilities; co-generation and/or Combined Heat & Power (CHP). Waste-to-Energy (WtE) and Nuclear are also key solutions within Power Generation. As Project Manager you'll ensure successful project delivery of EPC projects across our key markets in the UK, Spain, Germany and the Middle East. The role will be based in the UK at either our Glasgow or London office, with frequent travel to project and client sites throughout the region.,
- Manage all aspects of medium to large Engineering Procurement Construction (EPC)/Service projects, including risk to cost, schedule, quality.
- Responsible for the day-to-day successful execution of contracted engineering, procurement, and construction scope in the areas of performance, financial metrics, planning, schedule, quality, contractual compliance, safety, and client satisfaction.
- Provide for the successful staffing of the project.
- Manage and lead medium to large teams of multi-discipline professionals.
- Coordinate and integrate the activities associated with the engineering, procurement, construction, and startup elements of the project team, including the activities of all third party companies contributing to the initiative.
Experience in executing Power Generation projects - Proven Project Management experience within Engineering and Construction industry. Experience with leading EPC companies is highly desirable
- EPC/EPCM project experience, predominantly on the contractor side vs client preferred
- UK market experience with knowledge of key clients, competitors and current industry trends etc
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
