Senior Risk Compliance Specialist - Edinburgh

Eden Scott's client who is bsed in Edinburgh, is currently seeking a Senior Risk & Compliance Team Leader

The successful Individual will be responsible for developing and implementing a firm wide risk and compliance strategy across the business

Responsibilities

• Responsible for framing the strategy, vision and values of the risk & compliance function
• Encourage a compliance culture across the whole form to be a trusted and approachable resource for partners and employees
• Ensure and adapt that the company and partners and managers and employees are aware of their obligations under any terms and conditions which the firm is authorised
• Act as a change manager and project lead to deliver agreed risk and compliance across the firm
• Create and develop and implement risk and compliance policies and processes in the company
• Ensure all standard documentation is legally compliant and best practice and in line with the company
• Train the company on relevant compliance policies
• Assist in developing and promoting a culture of compliance within the firm;
• Assist in the ongoing maintenance and implementation of the compliance monitoring programme which provides management with reasonable assurance that the business understands and is complying with its regulatory/responsibilities;
• Provide compliance advice and expertise to the business in respect of existing and new regulatory requirements impacting the activities of the firm.

Person Qualifications

• Experience in a compliance function within Investments or Legal is essential
• Sound knowledge of Compliance & Regulations
• Previous Compliance & Risk experience is a must
