A forward-thinking Main Contractor primarily delivering commercial building projects up to the value of £30m across the healthcare and education sectors. With a solid reputation in the industry, this contractor gain repeat business from their clients in Central Scotland. The business has been awarded various new contracts recently and as such require a Senior Site Engineer to join their team on a permanent basis.

Your New Role

Your primarily role will be to assist the operational teams in the delivery of complex building projects. You will be their engineering support ensuring their civil and structural trades are completing their works in line with design and quality.

You will not be expected to be on the tools in terms of setting out, however, you should have an interest in training and guiding the more inexperienced setting out engineers, while contributing to managing the site.

We believe this position may suit a Civil Site Engineer with 5-10 years setting-out experience, who is looking to take the next step in their career. 

Essential Criteria

• Civil Engineering Degree

• Experience as a Setting-Out/Site Engineer (either for a main contractor or civils sub-contractor).

• Experience and understanding of modern setting out equipment.

• Appropriate knowledge of health and safety polices.

• Have good working knowledge of IT systems

• Practice of prioritising time critical work.

• Excellent communication and liaison skills.

• Proven experience of meeting deadlines and keeping costing guidelines.

• CSCS.
