Full Job Description
You will be required to carry out tasks and duties delegated by the Registered Manager in an effective and efficient manner, ensuring at all times the social and domestic care needs of service users.
You will observe the principles of confidentiality in all aspects of practice and ensure the safety and comfort of service users, attending to their general care and wellbeing, including assisting with personal care, in keeping with the standards of care required by the Care Inspectorate.
You will be required to be on standby as part of your shift pattern.
Previous experience in social care is essential and experience in a management or supervisory role is desirable.
You should hold an SVQ 3 Social Services and Health, or other relevant professional qualification to enable registration with the SSSC. You should also hold a management qualification which meets the SSSC management qualifications criteria, or be achieve this within 5 years of initial appointment. You must register with the SSSC as a Supervisor in Care Home Services for Adults within 3 months of appointment.
You should be able to travel efficiently and effectively between various work locations within Orkney to meet the operational requirements of the Service, and demonstrate a willingness to work across the residential services as required., Disability Confident
